In this paper, the author, generalizing a previous result [\textit{R. Sharma}, J. Geom. 53, 179-190 (1995; Zbl 0833.53033)], proves the following Theorem. Let \(M\) be a contact metric manifold with nonvanishing \(\xi\)-sectional curvature, where \(\xi\) is the characteristic vector field. Then, a vector field leaving the Riemann curvature tensor invariant is homothetic.
