Vector bundles on a formal neighborhood of a curve in a surface (Q5928708)

Given a smooth connected surface \(W\) and a smooth connected curve \(C\) of genus \(g\) in \(W\), let \(U\) be the formal completion of \(W\) along \(C\). In this paper the authors study families of vector bundles on \(U\) parametrized by integral varieties. They use the same construction as introduced by \textit{E. Ballico} [Rocky Mt. J. Math. 29, 1185-1193 (1999; Zbl 0993.14004)] for rank 2 bundles and \(C\) an exceptional divisor. In the present paper the authors consider vector bundles of arbitrary rank and \(C\) a rational curve as well as rank 2 bundles with \(g > 0\) .
