Asymptotic behavior of delay difference systems (Q1600373)

For the difference system \[ 2x_n-x_{n-1} =f(y_{n-k}), \quad 2y_n-y_{n-1}= f(x_{n-k}),\;n\in\mathbb{N}, \] where \(k\in\mathbb{N}\) and \(f(x)=-1\) if \(x> \sigma\), whereas \(f(x)=1\) if \(x\leq\sigma\) for some constant \(\sigma\), the asymptotic behaviour of the solution is determined in dependence on \(\sigma\) and the initial values.
