This paper studies a differentiable family of quadruples of complex matrices of the form \[ \left[\begin{matrix} A(u) & B(u)\\ C(u) & D(u)\end{matrix}\right],\tag{\(*\)} \] \(u\in \Delta\) -- a manifold, acted on by a family of matrices \[ \left[\begin{matrix} S^{-1}(u) & W(u)\\ 0 & P(u)\end{matrix}\right] \left[\begin{matrix} A(u) & B(u)\\ C(u) & D(u)\end{matrix}\right] \left[\begin{matrix} S(u) & 0\\ U(u) & R(u)\end{matrix}\right],\tag{\(\#\)} \] where \((S,U,W,R,P)\in GL_n\times M_{m,n}\times M_{n,p}\times GL_m\times GL_p\). Interpreted in control theory terminology, \((\#)\) means the action of state, input, output coordinate changes, of a state feedback, and of an output injection upon the linear control system \((*)\). The main contribution of the paper consists in a generalization of the Kronecker normal form to families of systems \((*)\). More specifically, it has been proved (Theorem 3.1) that for a simply connected manifold \(\Delta\), if all the members of the family \((*)\) have the same Kronecker type then there exists a smooth family of matrices \((S(u), U(u), W(u), R(u), P(u))\) such that for all parameter values \((*)\) assumes the suitable Kronecker canonical form.
