This paper recalls and re-proves results of Baouendi-Goulaouic on the convergence of series giving holomorphic solutions to Fuchsian systems, and applies them to the construction of conformally compact Einstein metrics. One may add that stronger results follow from (now standard) Fuchsian reduction techniques.
