    The authors investigate the uniform decay of the solution of the nonlinear hyperbolic problem with memory term on the boundary: \(u_{tt}-M(\|\nabla u\|^2)\Delta u - \Delta u'=0 \) on \(Q=\Omega\times (0,\infty),\) \(\;u(x,0)=u_0(x)\), \(u_t(x,0)=u_1(x)\), \(x\in \Omega\), \(u=0\) on \(\Sigma_1=\Gamma_1\times (0,\infty),\) \(M(\|\nabla u\|^2)\frac {\partial u}{\partial \nu}+ \frac {\partial u'}{\partial \nu} + g(t)|u'|^\rho u' =g*|u|^\rho u \) on \(\Sigma_0=\Gamma_0\times (0,\infty),\) where \(\Omega\) is a bounded domain of \(\mathbb R^n\) with \(C^2\) boundary \(\Gamma=\bar\Gamma_0 \cap \bar\Gamma_1\), \(\text{meas}(\Gamma_0)>0\), \(\text{meas}(\Gamma_1)>0, M(s)\) is \(C^1\) class function of the order \(1+s\), \(\gamma>0\), \(\rho>0\), if \(\;n\geq 3\), \(\rho\leq \frac 1{n-2} \)if \(n=1,2.\) The assumptions on the initial data and the kernel \(g\) of the memory are: \(u_0=\Delta u_0=\delta u_1 = 0\) on \(\Gamma_1,\) \((1+\|\nabla u_0\|^2)\frac {\partial u_0}{\partial \nu}+ \frac {\partial u_1}{\partial \nu}+u_0+g(0)|u_1|^\rho u_1 = 0\) on \(\Gamma_0,\) \(-m_0g(t)\leq g'(t)\leq -m_1g(t)\), \(t\geq t_0\), \(g(0)=0\), \(||g'(t)|\leq m_2 g(t)\), \(t\in [0,t_0],\) \( m_0,m_1,m_2>0\), \(\int_0^\infty g(r)dr <1.\) Under the assumptions formulated above there exists a unique strong solution \(u:\Omega\to \mathbb R\) such that \(\;u\), \(u'\in L^\infty(0,\infty;V)\), \(V=\{u\in H^1(\Omega)\); \(u=0\) on \(\Gamma_1\}\); \(u''\in L^2(0,\infty;L^2(\Omega)).\) Moreover, if \(\rho=\gamma,\) then there exist positive constants \(C_1\), \(C_2\), \(\epsilon\;\) such that \(\;E(t)\leq C_1E(0)\exp (-C_2\epsilon t),\) \( E(t)=\frac 12 \|u'(t)\|^2 + \frac 12 \|\nabla u(t) \|^2 +\frac 14 \|\nabla u(t)\|^4 + \frac 12 \|u(t)\|_{\Gamma_0}^2\).
