This paper gives several oscillation criteria for certain second-order nonlinear difference equations with continuous variable. These results improve those of \textit{Z. Zhang}, \textit{P. Bo} and \textit{J. Chen} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 255, 349--357 (2001; Zbl 0971.39007)].
