A convex affine domain \(\Omega\) (in Euclidean or in projective space) is called quasi-homogeneous if there exists a compact subset such that the orbit of this subset by the group of affine transformations of \(\Omega\) is the whole of \(\Omega\). When the compact subset is just a point we say that \(\Omega\) is homogeneous. In this paper the author proves that a strictly convex quasi-homogeneous projective domain has boundary of class \( C^1\), and if the boundary is twice differentiable then it is an ellipsoid. Using this result and properties of asymptotic cones, the author finds all possible quasi-homogeneous convex affine domains of dimension \(\leq 3\), as well as all possible shapes for the universal covering space of a convex affine manifold of dimension \(\leq 4\).
