    Let the dilation group \(\{\delta_t\}_{t>0}\) be given by \[ \delta_t:x=(x_1,x_2,\dots,x_n)\mapsto (t^{b_1}x_1,t^{b_2}x_2,\dots,t^{b_n}x_n), \] where \(1 = b_1\leq b_2\leq \cdots\leq b_n\) are fixed numbers. Let \(\alpha,\beta > 0\) and \(\rho\) be a \(\{\delta_t\}\)-homogeneous distance function which is \(C^1\) in \(\mathbb{R}^n\setminus 0\). For \(f\in C^\infty_0(\mathbb{R}^n)\) define \[ Tf(x)=\text{p.v. }\int_{| y|\leq 1}\frac{e^{i/| y|^\beta}}{\rho(y)^\alpha}\;f(x-y)\,dy. \] The authors obtain necessary and sufficient conditions on \(p\), \(\alpha\) and \(\beta\) for which \(T\) extends to a bounded operator on \(L^p(\mathbb{R}^n)\). More precisely, the main results are the following: Suppose \(\beta > \alpha - b\geq 0\). Let \(Q(\alpha,\beta) = \frac{2b+\beta-2\alpha}{2\beta}\) and \(Q_j=Q(\alpha,j(1+\beta)-b_1-\cdots -b_j)\), \(j=1,\dots,n\). Then: (i) The principal value integral \(T\) exists for every \(x\in \mathbb{R}^n\). (ii) \(T\) extends to a bounded linear operator on \(L^p(\mathbb{R}^n)\) whenever \(|\frac1p-\frac12|< Q(\alpha,\beta)\). (iii) If \(|\frac1p-\frac12| > \max[Q_1,\dots,Q_n]\), then \(T\) is not bounded on \(L^p(\mathbb{R}^n)\). These results are generalizations to dimension \(n\geq 2\) of Shayya's result in the case \(n = 2\) [\textit{B. Shayya}, Indiana Univ. Math. J. 50, No.~2, 1015--1025 (2001; Zbl 1038.42018)].
