Generation of analytic semigroups by differential operators with mixed boundary conditions (Q1430423)

The author investigates the generation of analytic semigroups in \(L^1(\alpha,\beta)\) by a second order differential operator \(Lu= u^{\prime\prime} + q_1(x)u^{\prime} + q_0(x)u\) with boundary conditions of the form \(a_iu(\alpha)+b_iu'(\alpha)+c_iu(\beta)+d_iu'(\beta)+ \int_{\alpha}^{\beta}R_i(t)u(t)dt + \int_{\alpha}^{\beta}S_i(t)u'(t)dt = 0 \;(i=1,2)\), where \(q_1,q_0\) are regular complex-valued functions and \(R_i, S_i\) are continuous complex-valued functions.
