Let \(\Omega\) be a measurable space and let \(X\) be a Banach space. A mapping \(T:\Omega\times X\to X\) is called a random operator if, for a fixed \(x\in X\), \(T(\cdot, x)\) is measurable. A mapping \(T: X\to X\) is said to be pseudo-contractive if \[ \| x-y\|\leq\| (1+r)(x- y)- r(T(x)- T(y))\| \] for all \(x,y\in X\) and \(r> 0\). In this paper, a number of random fixed point theorems for pseudo-contractive random operators are proved. In the proofs, the author applies some ideas and results of Petryshyn. The results presented in the paper play an important role in probabilistic functional analysis and in the applied sciences.
