    The paper is concerned with a random fixed point theorem: Existence and uniqueness of a random operator in a Banach space that is ordered through a normal cone is shown. Here, the random operator \(T\) is assumed to be continuous, increasing (or decreasing, resp.) and fulfills the condition \(-L(x-y) \leq Tx - Ty \leq L(x-y)\) for all \(y\leq x\), where \(L\) is a linear, positive contraction. The proof relies upon the convergence of the so-called Mann iteration that is a damped successive approximation.
