The following result is proved: If \(\Omega\) is a convex domain in \(\mathbb{R}^{n}\), \(K\) a compact subset of \(\Omega\) which has \(n-k\) Hausdorff measure equal with \(0\), \(1\leq k \leq n-1\) and if \(u\) is a continuous function in \(\Omega \backslash K\) which is a convex generalized solution of the curvature equation of order \(k\), \(H_{k}[u]=\psi \text{dx}\) in any convex subdomain of \(\Omega \backslash K\) for some nonnegative \(\psi \in L^{1}(\Omega)\), then \(\psi\) can be extended to a generalized solution of the same equation in \(\Omega\). The notion of generalized solution of curvature equation was introduced in the author's preprint, ``Generalized solutions of curvature equations''. In the paper under review is also proved that if \(\psi\) is a positive function, \(\psi^{1/k} \in C^{0,1}(\overline{\Omega})\) and if \(u\) is a convex function in \(\overline \Omega\) and a viscosity solution of the equation \(H_{k}[u]=\psi\) in \(\Omega\), then \(u\) is a generalized solution of the equation \(H_{k}[u]=\psi \,dx\) in \(\Omega\).
