A system consisting of a single population divided into larvae and adults is considered. The larvae are free to move while the adults are confined to a closed region. A time delay in the adult sector is also included. The existence of a unique positive equilibrium is shown. Uniform persistence of all solutions is proved. Using Hopf bifurcation and a fixed-point theorem, sufficient conditions for the existence of a limit cycle are obtained. A numerical example is given. There exist only a few analytic results for space limited models, hence this paper is an impressive attempt to close this gap.
