For continued fractions \(K(a_ n/1)\) the concept of limit region is discussed, and its use for obtaining modified truncation error estimates is illustrated on examples. In many cases limit regions are easier to use than value regions, and has also other advantages. Strategies for numerical computation of value regions or limit regions are discussed. One particular strategy is illustrated by use of computer graphics.
