The author studies convergence rates for monotone cubic spline interpolation. Let g be a monotone increasing function belonging to \(H^ 2[0,1]=\{f: [0,1]\to R: f,f'\) are absolutely continuous and \(f''\in L^ 2[0,1]\}\). Given a sequence of meshes \(s_ n\) such that \(\lim_{n\to \infty}| s_ n| =0\), let \(\sigma_{M,n}\) denote the cubic monotone spline interpolator of g at the knots of \(s_ n\). Then he proves that \(\| g^{(k)}- \sigma^{(k)}_{M,n}\|_{\infty}=o(| s_ n|^{3/2-k}),\) \(k=0,1\).
