Determination of the irreducible divided power Hopf algebras (Q1070018)

This paper is a continuation of a paper [in J. Algebra 96, 275-306 (1985)] by the same author. Relations between Lie coalgebras and their coenveloping coalgebras are studied. In particular it is shown that an irreducible divided power bialgebra is isomorphic to the irreducible component of the identity of the coenveloping coalgebra of its Lie coalgebra and that the Lie coalgebra will be locally nilpotent. Furthermore all locally nilpotent Lie coalgebras can be obtained in this way. This defines in fact an equivalence of categories. Various known special cases are discussed.
