Method of chasing for multipoint boundary value problems (Q1080014)

The method of chasing for multipoint boundary value problems was developed by Gelfand and Lokutsiyevskij [\textit{I. S. Berezin} and \textit{N. P. Zhidkov}, Methods of Chasing, in ''Computing Methods'', Vol. II (1965; Zbl 0122.129)]. The authors formulate another practical shooting method, namely the method of chasing for nth order ordinary linear differential equations subject to separated multipoint boundary conditions. The systems given by \textit{T. Y. Na} [Computational methods in engineering boundary value problems (1979; Zbl 0456.76002)] follow as a special case.
