The authors consider a reaction-diffusion system with noflux boundary condition. The aim is to extend the resuls obtained by Chafee for a single equation in one space dimension and by Casten, Holland, Matano in a convex domain, on the nonexistence of stable non constant equilibrium solutions. The results are proven by arguments due to Kishimoto, who applied the maximum principle for weakly coupled systems, and the theorem of Krein and Rutman.
