The author proves the vanishing of the Iwasawa \(\mu\)-invariant in the elliptic case (i.e. the case of arithmetic of abelian extensions \(F\) of an imaginary quadratic field \(K\)). The author considers a prime \(p\neq 2,3\), splitted into \({\mathfrak pp}'\) in \(K/{\mathbb{Q}}\), and makes two hypotheses: (i) does not divided \([F:K]\) (technical one), (ii) the class number of \(K\) is 1 (more essential one). The main result (théorème 0.3) is expressed in terms of orders of p- torsion Galois groups attached to the \({\mathbb{Z}}_ p\)-extension unramified outside \({\mathfrak p}\) (remarks: in the essential definition of \(M_ n/F_ n\), \(n\in {\mathbb{N}}\cup \{\infty \}\), the word ''abélien'' is missing and \(F\) is \(F_{\infty}\); in ''théorème 0.3'' the formula for \(| Gal(M_ n/F_{\infty})|\) is to be read \(p^{\lambda n+\nu}).\) The spirit of the proof is the following: as in the classical cyclotomic case, the result is based on a general deep algebraic independence lemma (théorème 1.2) following the corresponding result of \textit{W. Sinnott} [Invent. Math. 75, 273-282 (1984; Zbl 0531.12004)]; for this purpose the author develops the needed geometrical aspects and applies this main lemma to the specific \({\mathbb{Z}}_ p\)-distributions giving the \({\mathfrak p}\)-adic \(L\)-functions constructed by him [Compos. Math. 42, 57-88 (1980; Zbl 0446.12012)], and then the (analytic) formula for \(| Gal(M_ n/F_{\infty})|.\) Note: the same result has been obtained independently by \textit{L. Schneps} [J. Number Theory 25, 20-33 (1987; see the preceding review)].
