An algorithm is developed for the realization of generalized state space linear systems via Taylor series expansion about a nominal point ``a''. The algorithm provides minimal, finite dimensional realizations when the data of the external description, such as the impulse response or the frequency response matrices are given. The presented algorithm is exact, is computationally simple and easily programmable to a digital computer and finally may lead to every possible minimal realization of a given input-output relation.
