In connection with a famous problem of Minkowski, Keller conjectured in 1930 that in any family of translates of a unit \(n\)-dimensional cube whose union is the whole \(n\)-dimensional space and whose interiors are disjoint, some two of the cubes must share a complete \((n-1)\)-dimensional face. 1940 Perron proved the conjecture for \(n\leq 6\) [cf. \textit{O. Perron}, Math. Z. 46, 1-26 (1940; Zbl 0022.20205), ibid., 161-180 (1940; Zbl 0022.30802)]. In 1949 \textit{G. Hajós} [Čas. Mat. Fys., Praha 74, 157-162 (1949; Zbl 0039.019)] reduced the problem to a problem in the theory of finite Abelian groups. In the present paper it is solved for some further special cases, and the result of Sands concerning cyclic groups of order \(p^aq^b\) (\(p\neq q\) primes) is obtained by a new proof.
