    Let \(\Phi(K)\) be the class of function sequences \(\phi =\{\phi_ k(x)\}_ 1^{\infty}\), \(x\in (0,1)\), such that \(\int^{1}_{0}\phi_ k(x)dx=0\), \(\int^{1}_{0}\phi_ k\) \(2(x)dx=1\), \(| \phi_ k(x)| \leq K\), \(1\leq K\leq \infty\) and \(\phi_ k(x)\), \(k=1,2,..\). are stochastically independent. For sequences \(\lambda =\{\lambda_ k\}_ 1^{\infty}\), \(0<\lambda_ 1\leq \lambda_ 2\leq...\leq \lambda_ n\leq...\), \(\lambda_ n\to \infty\) and \(a=\{a_ k\}\), the author studies the class \[ M(\lambda;K)= \{a: \lim_{n\to\infty} \lambda_ n^{-1} \sum^{n}_{k=1}a_ k\phi_ k(x)=0\text{ for all }\phi\in\Phi(k)\text{ almost everywhere in }(0,1)\}. \] The main results: I) If \(1<K<\infty\) then \(M(\lambda;K)=M(\lambda;1);\) II) \(a\in M(\lambda;1)\) iff \(\lambda_ n^{-1}\sum^{n}_{k=1}a_ kz_ k(x)\to 0\) a.e. in (0,1), where \(\{z_ k(x)\}_ 1^{\infty}\) are Rademacher functions; III) If \(K\in [1,\infty]\) and \[ (1)\quad \lim_{N\to \infty}\sup_{\phi \in \Phi (K)}\{\int^{1}_{0}\sup_{n\geq N}\{\lambda_ n\quad^{-1}\sum^{n}_{k=1}a_ k\phi_ k(x)\}\quad 2dx\}^{1/2}=0, \] then \(a\in M(\lambda;K);\) IV) If \(a\in M(\lambda;\infty)\) then (1) holds for \(K=\infty\).
