The aim of the present paper is a deep analysis of the Krein-Milman type theorems. The author introduces two basic concepts: the concept of a spot function, which is a function with domain and range in the subsets of a given set X and which carries the idea of convexity; and the concept of a peripheral, which is a relation in the subsets of X and contains the idea of extreme set. From the main theorem generalizations of results of Fuchssteiner, Ky Fan and Van de Vel are derived.
