A Tikhonov space \(X\) is RG (regularly good) if the embedding of \(C(X)\to C(X_\delta)\) is an epimorphism of rings, where \(X_\delta\) as usual denotes the underlying set of \(X\) with the topology generated by the \(G_\delta\)-sets of the space \(X\). In this paper pseudocompact \(RC\)-spaces are discussed. The main theorem shows how to construct a suitable maximal disjoint family, and the authors apply it to obtain examples of RG-spaces that are almost compact, locally compact, non-compact, almost-\(P\), and of Cantor-Bendixson degree 2. Some open questions are raised.
