Steenrod squares on conjugation spaces (Q817879)

The authors determine the coefficients of so-called conjugation equations for conjugation spaces introduced by \textit{J.-C. Hausmann, T. Holm} and \textit{V. Puppe} in [Algebr. Geom. Topol. 5, 923--964 (2005; Zbl 1081.55006)] by using Steenrod squares. As a consequence, the authors answer an old question of \textit{A. Borel} and \textit{A. Haefliger} in [Bull. Soc. Math. Fr. 89, 461--513 (1961; Zbl 0102.38502)].
