\textit{G. Alessandrini} and \textit{S. Vessella} [Adv. Appl. Math. 35, 207--241 (2005; Zbl 1095.35058)] proved a Lipschitz stability estimate for the inverse conductivity problem of determining the coefficient \(a=\sum\limits_{i=1}^{N}\alpha _{i}\chi _{D_{i}}\left( x\right) \) of the equation \(\text{div}\left( a\nabla u\right) =0\) from the knowledge of the Dirichlet-to Neumann map. In the above cited paper, \(N\) is known \(\alpha _{i}\), \(\lambda \) \(\leq \alpha _{i}\leq \lambda ^{-1}\), \(\lambda \in \left( 0,1\right] \), \(i=1,\dots,N\) are unknown and \(D_{i}\) , \(i=1,\dots,N\) are known and pairwise disjoint. In the article under review it is proved that the Lipschitz constant of the estimate proved in the Alessandrini-Vessella paper behaves exponentially with respect of the number \(N\)
