A complex number \(\lambda\) is called an \textit{extended eigenvalue} of a bounded linear operator \(T\) on a Banach space \(B\) if there exists a nonzero bounded linear operator \(X\) acting on \(B\) such that \(XT=\lambda TX\). Obviously, \(1\) is an extended eigenvalue for any operator \(T\). In the paper under review, the author shows that there are compact quasinilpotent operators on a separable Hilbert space for which the set of extended eigenvalues is the one-point set \(\{1\}\). Thus the author answers affirmatively two questions posed by \textit{A.\,Biswas, A.\,Lambert} and \textit{S.\,Petrović} in [Glasg.\ Math.\ J.\ 44, No.\,3, 521--534 (2002; Zbl 1037.47013)].
