The authors consider pseudo MV-algebras and semirings. The concepts are defined in great detail. Various results on these algebras and semirings are recalled. They also prove a few results on these algebras and semirings. They then apply these concepts to automata theory over lattice-ordered semirings, and various algebraic operations of languages of automata.
