The author considers the nonlinear discrete boundary value problem \[ \Delta[p(t-1)\Delta y(t-1)]+q(t)y(t)+(\lambda_k+\lambda)y(t)+f(t,y(t))=h(t),\quad t\in T \] \[ a_{11}y(a)+a_{12}\Delta y(a)=0,\quad a_{21}y(b+1)+a_{22}\Delta y(b+1)=0 \] where \(\lambda_k\) is an eigenvalue of the associated linear problem, \(\lambda\) is a parameter, and \(f\) satisfies certain sublinear growth condition. By establishing some a priori bounds, and together with Leray-Schauder continuation and bifurcation arguments, the author studies the existence and multiplicity of solutions of the above boundary value problem.
