The author proves existence of a noncompact connected solution set for some nonlinear multivalued mappings \(J(x)+ G(x)\in M(x,\lambda)\), where \(X\) is a Banach space, \(Y\) a normed space, \(\Lambda\) a finite-dimensional space, \(J: X\to Y\) a linear homeomorphism, \(G: X\to Y\) is compact and \(M: X\times\Lambda\to Y\) is a compact upper semicontinuous multivalued map with closed convex values. Results by M. Väth involving boundedly 0-epi multivalued maps are used in the proofs. Unfortunately, no example of application is given.
