The authors consider the impulsive second-order boundary value problem \[ \begin{aligned} &-u'' = h(t)f(t,u), \quad 0 < t < 1,\;t \not= t_k,\\ &-\triangle u'| _{t=t_k} = I_k(u(t_k)),\\ &\triangle u| _{t=t_k} = \bar I_k(u(t_k)), \quad k = 1,2,\dots,m,\\ &\alpha u(0) - \beta u'(0) = 0,\\ &\gamma u(1) + \delta u'(1) = 0, \end{aligned} \] where \(f\), \(h\), \(I_k\), \(\bar I_k\) are continuous, \(h\) may be singular at \(t=0\) or \(t=1\), \(\alpha\),\(\beta\),\(\gamma\),\(\delta \geq 0\), \(\beta\gamma + \alpha\gamma + \alpha\delta > 0\), \(0 < t_1 < \ldots < t_m < 1\). Sufficient conditions for the existence of at least two positive solutions are derived. The arguments are based on a fixed point index theorem.
