A point \(x\) in a connected space \(X\) is a \textsl{cut point of} \(X\) if \(X\setminus \{x\}\) is disconnected while the number of components of this latter space is the \textsl{order} of the cut point \(x\); a connected space is a \textsl{cut point space} if each of its points is a cut point. It is known that all but a countable number of cut points of a separable metric continuum are of order two. In the paper under review, the authors construct a connected Hausdorff space in which each point is a cut point of order three. They further show that a separable connected Hausdorff space does not contain uncountably many cut points of order three.
