By means of Zalcman's lemma, the authors consider some normality criterion with shared value conditions. Let \({\mathcal F}\) be a family of meromorphic functions defined in a domain \(D\), and let \(k\) be a positive integer and \(a\neq 0\) be a finite complex number. \({\mathcal F}\) is said to be normal in \(D\), in the sense of Montel, if for any sequence \(\{f_n\} \subset{\mathcal F}\), there exists a subsequence \(\{f_n\}\) such that \(f_{n_j}\) converges spherically uniformly in \(D\) to a meromorphic function or \(\infty\). \textit{M. Fang} and \textit{L. Zalcman} [J. Aust. Math. Soc. 76, No. 1, 141--150 (2004; Zbl 1074.30032)] proved that if \(k\) is a positive integer and \(\mathcal F\) is a family of functions meromorphic in \(D\) such that each zero of each function \(f\in \mathcal F\) has multiplicity at least \(k + 2\), and if, for each pair of functions \(f, g \in\mathcal F\), both (i) \(f\) and \(g\) share the value \(0\), and (ii) \(f ^{(k)}\) and \(g^{ (k) }\) share a fixed value \(a\), then \(\mathcal F\) is a normal family in \(D\). It is shown that if \((f^n)^{(k)}\) and \((g^n)^{(k)}\) with \(n\geq k+2\) share \(a\) in \(D\) for every pair of functions \(f\) and \(g\) in \({\mathcal F}\), then \({\mathcal F}\) is normal in \(D\). Some examples are given, which are not normal without the conditions in their result.
