The paper deals with spherically symmetric solutions to the equation \(u_{tt}-\Delta u-\frac{2}{r^2}u(1-u^2)=0\) in \(\mathbb R^{4+1}\) space. The authors show that the equation admits a family of solutions which blow-up in a finite time. They construct an approximative solution as a perturbation of a time-dependent profile \(u_0=Q(R)\), where \(Q(R)=\frac{1-R^2}{1+R^2}\) and \(R=\frac{r}{t}(-\log t)^{\beta}\).
