The authors continue their work on ballistic random walk in a random environment. See the authors [Probab. Theory Relat. Fields 133, No. 3, 299--314 (2005; Zbl 1088.60094); ALEA Lat. Am. J. Probab. Math. Stat. 1, 111--147, electronic only (2006; Zbl 1115.60106); Ann. Probab. 35, No. 1, 1--31 (2007; Zbl 1126.60090)]. Here, they consider a multidimensional diffusively scaled centered random walk in a product random environment with bounded steps, transience in some spatial direction, and high enough moments on the regeneration time, and prove an invariance principle under almost every environment. The main point behind the invariance principle is that the quenced mean of the walk behaves subdiffusively.
