In this paper the authors consider necessary conditions for constrained extreme problems in the image space. It is proved that a particular linear separation is equivalent to the existence of Lagrangian multipliers with a positive multiplier associated with the objective function. They perform a comparison with the constraint qualifications and the existing regularity conditions. Some examples are also illustrated.
