Let \(K_{iq}\) be the MacDonald's functions. The authors prove the following orthogonality relation \[ \frac{2}{\pi^2} q'\sinh(\pi q') \int_0^\infty \frac{K_{iq}(\alpha)K_{iq'}(\alpha)}{\alpha}\,d\alpha= \delta(q-q'). \] This relation is derived first via a heuristic approach based on the Mehler-Fock integral transform of the MacDonald's functions, and then rigorously proved using a polynomial approximation procedure.
