The author proves Hardy inequalities of the following form: Let \(f\) be a measurable function on the real semiaxis \(\mathbb{R}_{+}=(0, +\infty)\) such that the integral \(\int_{0}^{\infty}\frac{1}{r}|rf(r)|^{p}dr, \;\;p>1\), converges. Then \[ \int_{0}^{1}\frac{1}{r}\Big| \frac{1}{\ln r} \int_{1}^{r}f(t)\,dt\Big|^{p}\,dr \leq \Big(\frac{p}{p-1}\Big)^{p}\int_{0}^{1}\frac{1}{r}|rf(r)|^{p}dr, \] \[ \int_{1}^{\infty}\frac{1}{r}\Big| \frac{1}{\ln r} \int_{1}^{r}f(t)\,dt\Big|^{p}\,dr \leq \Big(\frac{p}{p-1}\Big)^{p}\int_{1}^{\infty}\frac{1}{r}|rf(r)|^{p}dr. \] The author also proves some multidimensional inequalities of this type such as: Let \(u\in L_{p, \mathrm{loc}}(\mathbb{R}^n)\) and \(\int_{\mathbb{R}^n}|\nabla u(x)|^{p}|x|^{p-n}\,dx<\infty, \;\;p>1\). Additionally, let \(\int_{S_{n-1}}u(x)ds=0\), where \(S_{n-1}\) is the unit sphere in \(\mathbb{R}^n\). Then \[ \int_{\mathbb{R}^n} \mu(|x|)|u(x)|^{p}\,dx\leq M\,\int_{\mathbb{R}^n} \frac{1}{|x_{n}|}||x|\nabla u(x)|^{p}\,dx, \] where \(M>0\) is a constant and the weight \(\mu\) is given by the formula \(\mu(r)=\min \Big\{\frac{1}{r^n|\ln r |^p},\frac{1}{r^n}\Big\}\). The author gives applications of these inequalities to partial differential equations including Poisson's equation in \(\mathbb{R}^{2}\) and stationary Kolmogorov-Fokker-Planck equation in the plane.
