Let \(R\) be an integral domain and \(\star\) a semistar operation on \(R\). An ideal \(I\) of \(R\) is called a quasi-\(\star\)-ideal if \(I^{\star}\cap R=I\). In this paper the author proved that for a semistar operation of finite type \(\star\) on \(R\) and for a quasi-\(\star\)-ideal \(I\) of \(R\), if every minimal prime ideal of \(I\) is the radical of a \(\star\)-finite ideal, then \(I\) has finitely many minimal primes. In particular, if \(\star\) is the trivial (resp. the \(t\)-) semistar operation, one can deduce the well-known result that for an ideal \(I\) of a domain \(R\), if every minimal prime of \(I\) is the radical of a finitely generated (resp. \(t\)-finite) ideal, then \(\mathrm{Min}(I)\) (resp. \(\mathrm{Min}_{t}(I)\)) is finite.
