The Fourier-Haar coefficients of a function \(f(x) \in C(0,1)\), \(C(0,1)\) being the class of continuous functions on \([0,1]\), are defined by \[ c_0^{(0)}(f) = \int_0^1 f(x) \,dx, \qquad c_n^{(k)}(f) = \int_0^1 f(x) \;\chi_n^{(k)}(x) \,dx \] where \(\chi_n^{(k)}(x)\) (\(n=0,1,\dots\); \(k=1,2,\dots,2^n\)) denotes the orthonormal Haar system on \([0,1]\). It is well known that if the Fourier-Haar coefficients have a certain order or if a certain series composed of the Fourier-Haar coefficients of a function \(f(x) \in C(0,1)\) converges, then the function is of the form \(ax+b\) with \(a\) and \(b\) some numbers or it is a constant. In this paper, it is proved that also the differences \(\Delta c_n^{(k)}(f) = c_n^{(k)}(f)-c_n^{(k+1)}(f)\) of the Fourier-Haar coefficients possess these properties. Moreover, also estimates of the Fourier-Haar coefficients are obtained.
