This work deals with the asymptotic analysis of a coupled problem as long as a 3D domain \(\Omega\), having the measure \(h^a+h^b\), where \(h^a\) and \(h^b\) represent the thickness of two orthogonally joined ferromagnetic films, as \(h^a\) and \(h^b\) tend to zero such that \(h^a/h^b\to q\in]0,\infty[\). The problem under study is constituted by the minimization problem: \(\min\{\int_{\Omega}(\alpha |\nabla M|^2+\varphi(M)+{1\over 2}\nabla U\cdot M -2F\cdot M)\,dx: M\in H^1(\Omega,S^2)\}\), and the Laplace equations: \(\Delta U=\nabla \cdot M\) in \(\Omega\) and \(\Delta U=0\) otherwise. Here, \(\alpha\) is a positive constant, \(F\in L^2(\Omega,\mathbb R^3)\) is such that \(F=0\) in \(\mathbb R^3\setminus\Omega\), \(\varphi:S^2\to [0,\infty[\) is a continuous and even function and \(S^2\) denotes the unit sphere of \(\mathbb R^3\). Strong convergences are obtained for the rescaled magnetization (\(M\)) in the \(H^1\)-norm and for the rescaled magnetic intensity field (\(H=-\nabla U\)) in the \(L^2\)-norm, with \(U \) representing the magnetostatic potential. This proof is based on the convergence of the magnetostatic free energy and on the derivation of a priori estimate for the magnetization. Since the limit domain, \((\{0\}\times [-1/2,1/2]\times[0,1])\cup ([-1/2,1/2]^2\times \{0\})\), is not a manifold, in order to identify the limit problem a density result is proved.
