Let \(k\) be a field of characteristic different from 2, and \(E(n)\) the \(2^{n+1}\)-dimensional pointed Hopf algebra introduced by \textit{M. Beattie, S. Dăscălescu, L. Grünenfelder}, [in J. Algebra 225, No. 2, 743-770 (2000; Zbl 0948.16026)]. \(E(1)\) is the Taft algebra. To a symmetric \(n\times n\)-matrix \(M\), we can associate a quasitriangular structure \(R_M\) on \(E(n)\). The Brauer group \(\text{Br}(k,E(n),R_M)\) of the braided monoidal category \(_{E(n)}\mathcal M^{R_M}\) has been computed by \textit{G. Carnovale, J. Cuadra}, [in K-Theory 33, No. 3, 251-276 (2004; Zbl 1073.16028)]. In particular, there is a surjective group morphism \(\beta_M\colon\text{Br}(k,E(n),R_M)\to\text{Sym}_n(k)\), the additive group of symmetric \(n\times n\)-matrices. The main result of this note is the following: If \(A\) is an \((E(n),R_M)\)-Azumaya algebra, with \(rg(\beta_M([A]))=r\neq 0\), then there is a \(2^r\)-dimensional \((E(n),R_M)\)-Azumaya Clifford subalgebra \(B\) of \(A\) such that \(\beta_M([B])=\beta_M([A])\).
