The paper is a continuation of recent joint work of F.\,Marcellán and the author [cf.\ \textit{F. Marcellán} and \textit{R. Sfaxi}, Integral Transforms Spec. Funct. 21, No.~7--8, 487--501 (2010; Zbl 1197.42015)], where they introduced a linear operator \(D_{u}\) defined on the space of all polynomials in one variable with complex coefficients, where \(u\) is a linear functional on polynomials with canonical moment. The main purpose of the present paper is to derive some expansion formulas associated with the nonsingular Laguerre-Hahn polynomial sequence of class zero of Hermite type \(\{\hat H_{n}(.,\xi)\}_{n\geq 0}\) of index \(\xi \in C^{3}\). In order to obtain the main results, the author first constructs an intertwining operator between \(D_{u}\) and the operators \(D\) and \(D_{\tau}\delta\), where \(\delta\) denotes the Dirac measure supported by zero. Then, using these operators, the author builds a \(D_{u}\)-Appell polynomial sequence and determines the connection coefficients between two \(D_{u}\)-Appell polynomial sequences and between a \(D_{u}\)-Appell polynomial sequence and the basic sequence \(\{ x^{n}\}_{n\geq 0}\).
