A function \(f\) meromorphic in the unit disk is a normal function in the sense of Lehto and Virtanen if \[ \sup_{z\in \mathbb D} \frac{|f '(z)|}{1+|f(z)|^2}<\infty. \] The authors survey several results concerning multiplication of Blaschke products by normal/non-normal functions into the class of non-normal functions. Then they show that if \(B\) is a Blaschke product whose zero sequence is contained in a Stolz angle with vertex at \(1\), then \(BG\) is not a normal function whenever \(G\) is holomorphic in \(\mathbb D\) and satisfies \(G(z)\to\infty\) as \(z\to 1\). They also generalize a result by \textit{P. Gorkin} and \textit{R. Mortini} [J. Anal. Math. 96, 369--395 (2005; Zbl 1114.30039)] by showing that if \(B\) is a thin Blaschke product with positive zeros, then \(-1\) belongs to the cluster set \(C\big(B, \Gamma\setminus\{1\},1\big)\) of \(B\) along any curve in \(\mathbb D\) with end-point \(1\). The proofs are straightforward.
