Consider a skew-product transformation of the form \(T_f(x,g)=(Tx,f(x) g) \) on the product \(X\times G\), where \(X\) is a compact metric space, \(G\) is a locally compact second countable group, and \(f:X\to G\) is continuous. A non-abelian group \(G\) presents some additional difficulties in trying to determine the dynamical properties of \(T_f\). Here the group \(G\) is assumed to be nilpotent and \(T\) to be a minimal homeomorphism of a torus, and it is shown that the resulting cocycles have good regularity properties, and that, in particular, there is a partition of the space into orbit closures.
