The twistor space \(Z\) of a Riemannian 4-manifold \((M,g)\) is a \(\mathbb CP^1\)-bundle over \(M\). The Levi-Civita connection of \(g\) determines the horizontal and vertical distributions of \(TM\) and hence induces a natural metric \(\tilde g\) in \(Z\). In this article, the author studies some aspects of complex structures on \((Z,\tilde g)\) which are compatible with the \(\mathbb CP^1\)-fibration and the metric \(\tilde g\). The results obtained translate to properties on \((M,g)\) in terms of complex structures \(J_f\) in \((Z,\tilde g)\) where \(J_f\) is a compatible almost complex structure on \((Z,\tilde g)\) associated to a certain morphism \(f\) of \(Z\). In the main result (Theorem 1), the author proves, among others, that for a Kählerian surface \((M,g,J_M)\) the almost complex structure \(J_{\lambda Id},\) with \(\lambda\neq 0,1\), is integrable if and only if \((M,g,J_M)\) is scalar-flat Kähler. At the end, the author generalizes the result to Riemannian manifolds of dimension \(4n\), with \(n>1\), and to quaternionic Kähler manifolds.
