    The paper is devoted to the study of the commuting hyperbolic toral automorphism \(\mathcal{A}: \mathbb{Z}^2 \times \mathbb{T}^3 \to \mathbb{T}^3\) given by \(\mathcal{A}(n_1,n_2,x) = A_1^{n_1} A_2^{n_2} x + \mathbb{Z}^3,\) where \(\mathbb{T}^3 = \mathbb{R}^3 / \mathbb{Z}^3\) is the three-dimensional torus, the matrices \(A_1, A_2 \in \mathrm{SL}(3, \mathbb{Z})\) are commuting and hyperbolic (i.e., \(A_1 A_2 = A_2 A_1\) and neither matrix has an eigenvalue of modulus one), and \(n_1, n_2 \in \mathbb{Z}\). The action \(\mathcal{A}\) is non-degenerate, i.e., \(A_1^{n_1} A_2^{n_2} =I\) implies \(n_1 = n_2 = 0.\) The author gives uniform estimates on the rate of growth of the number \(N(n_1,n_2) = \mathrm{Card} \{x \in \mathbb{T}^3: \mathcal{A}(n_1,n_2,x) = x \}\) of fixed points for the action \(\mathcal{A}\) in terms of \((n_1,n_2) \in \mathbb{Z}^2\) as \(\sqrt{n_1^2 + n_2^2} \to +\infty.\) Generalizations to higher-dimensional \(\mathbb{Z}^k\)-actions are also studied.
