The authors define a class of convolutional Goppa codes in terms of fibrations of algebraic varieties. These constructions generalize the 2006 results of the same authors [IEEE Trans. Inform. Theory 52, No. 1, 340--344 (2006; \url{doi:10.1109/TIT.2005.860447})] where they proceeded in terms of evaluating along sections of a family of algebraic curves. Here, the authors evaluate sections of an invertible sheaf on \(X\) along sections of the fibration \(X \to \mathbb{A}^1\). Several results about the parameters are given. Explicit Maximum Distance Separable (MDS) codes over small finite fields are constructed and analyzed.
