Existence and multiplicity results for nonlinear critical Neumann problem on compact Riemannian manifolds (Q1938510)

The author studies a nonlinear boundary value problem of the \(p\)-Laplacian on Riemannian manifolds with boundary. The boundary condition involves Neumann- and Dirichlet-type summands and the critical Sobolev exponents. In case \(p=2\) the boundary condition degenerates to a Dirichlet-type condition which appears in the problem of prescribing scalar and mean curvature. Using a variational characterization of the boundary problem and examining the corresponding subcritical problems, the author obtains existence and multiplicity results.
